Application

Recommendations for a proper application

Important

  • Keep this product in a dark place.
  • Wash the application equipment/device before use.
  • Shake it vigorously 24 hours before application and also immediately before being applied.
  • Use efficient nozzles.
  • Keep the product PH value between 6 and 8.9.
  • Stick to the time schedule.
  • Use a pressure lower than 2 Kg.
  • Take up technical recommendations as regards doses and application moments.
  • Add sugar in case of finding sucking or scraping insects.
  • Avoid full sun, wind, and rain exposure.
  • FFO should not be mixed with other products.
  • Do not combine it with fungicides.
  • Do not dilute it in running water.

Further details

  • FFO should be applied in the afternoon, when sun exposure is low. It can also be applied either in the evening or early in the morning.
  • FFO is neither toxic nor dangerous to people, animals, or the environment, but if it is applied under strong wind conditions, part of the product is likely to be wasted.
  • Plants take approximately three hours to incorporate FFO. After that period, the product is already working inside the plant and will not be washed by rain.
  • FFO carries microorganisms that are highly sensitive to sunlight, so the product should be kept away from sun exposure. Also, wet storage conditions can lead to damages in its paperboard container.
  • The active principles of other products can alter the complex of microorganisms carried by FFO.
  • FFO should not be mixed with fungicides in any way. Do not apply FFO if a fungicide is actively present on your crops. Fungicides deactivate part of the complex of microorganisms carried by FFO.
  • Application equipment and their pieces (tanks, backpacks, wands, booms, and nozzles) should be washed to avoid residues. This recommendation is particularly important in case of previous use for application of any kind of fungicides.
  • If the alkalinity or acidity of the application broth is significantly increased, FFO quality decreases. The proper PH value is between 6 and 8.9.
  • In cases of land sprayers, FFO should be applied in at least 100 liters of water per hectare to ensure that FFO uniformly reaches all plants.
  • Running water contains chlorine and fluoride, which damage some beneficial microorganisms in FFO.
  • If possible, we suggest using hollow cone nozzles to ensure an efficient pulverization of the solution.
  • Do not apply the product with a pressure higher than 2 Kg. The higher the pressure, the lower the broth quality.
  • FFO stimulates the natural defenses that plants activate against diseases or insect attacks. FFO should be applied preventively and on schedule, since its components stimulate the production of growth-promoting substances. This improves both root architecture, which leads to a more efficient absorption of water and nutrients (more vigorous plants), and cuticular thickness in leaves, thus avoiding damage caused by insects (sucking, chewing, and scraping insects). Using FFO allows for a significant reduction of phytosanitary dependence.
  • It is important to stick to the suggested doses and moments for each application. Ask your supplier for instructions.
  • In case of attack by sucking or scraping insects (aphids, thrips, spider mites, and others), add 1.0 kges of sugar in 100 liters of water when preparing FFO.
  • The complex of microorganisms is activated by shaking FFO 24 hours before application and at the very previous instants. In this way, the amount of colony-forming units is exponentially increased, which enhances the effect.
